Joy is both our end goal and the means for us to get there. The joy we find in our work translates to games and entertainment that spark imagination and put smiles on peoples’ faces. We want to deliver high-value experiences to our players, and we never take their time with us lightly. We believe joy can stand the test of time and ultimately create meaningful change.

Heritage in tech and gaming
Rovio is part of a rich heritage of tech and gaming in the Nordics, with the Finnish gaming industry alone generating €3.2 billion in revenue in 2022.
The gaming industry in the north has shown the world what is possible, not only on mobile devices, but on console, PC, and on emerging technologies like AR and VR.

Nordic by nature.
The Nordics are home to some of the world’s most beautiful unspoiled nature, bursting with dense pine forests, spotted with serene lakes, and peppered with archipelagos. Even in the most populous areas, nature is never far away, and there is always an opportunity to get away and take it all in.

Sustainability.
Acting in a responsible way has always been one of Rovio’s overarching principles. Our ambition is to be an industry leader in sustainability and help set standards for continuous improvement. We foster a diverse and inclusive work culture and want to ensure a safe and responsible gaming environment for all players, while respecting the environment.

Our Studios
Rovio’s locations in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Canada, and Turkey are home to eight game studios, each with their own focus and mission. Learn more about the studios that make Rovio’s unique brand of joy a reality.
