That was a heck of a show! Team Rovio arrived in London last week for Brand Licensing Europe 2018, where we announced the development of ‘Project Magic,’ a revolutionary new augmented reality (AR) app planned for 2019 that will seamlessly connect licensed Angry Birds products with the digital Angry Birds universe!

We also hosted our annual partner summit, where over 200 Rovio partners learned more about Rovio’s incredible long-term content roadmap. We even presented a short runway show featuring Filippo Latarzas’ stunning design of the Angry Birds collection!

We announced tons of new partnerships leading up to the show, setting up our strongest line-up of licensing partners to date! In the last month alone, we’ve joined forces with Grammy Award-winning band Imagine Dragons and the Tyler Robinson Foundation to fight pediatric cancer, revealed Jazwares as our new master toy partner, and teamed up with Edukie and Maisto for new innovative toys and products in the U.S.

With the announcement of Project Magic and tons of new licensing initiatives in the pipeline, this has been a thrilling year so far for all of us on Team Rovio. And the best is still to come, with The Angry Birds Movie 2 is planned to hit theaters in 2019, a new long-form animation series planned for 2020, plus location-based entertainment experiences, a TV competition show and so much more!
