We are seeking a leader for our advertising business. You will be responsible for leading and growing a business already generating €60 Million of revenue annually in our games. 

You will be a key driver in crafting joy for millions of players across the globe, working with our game studios to deliver player-focused gaming. You will seek to maximise the potential of our live game including Angry Birds titles and of the new games we will bring to market. 

At Rovio, we have invested in Beacon platform in-house advertising services - mediation, campaign management, cross-promotion -  so that we can define our future. 

We expect you to drive our ads strategy and lead the operations team to execute the strategy across our business working hand-in-hand with our game studios. You will be responsible for partnering with our ads supply partners including Facebook, Google, Amazon and Unity. You will work closely with our Tech, BI and Marketing teams to define and deliver advertising driven projects. You will lead a dedicated team of 5 directly and leverage a larger virtual team (including product, business intelligence and developers).

This is an exciting opportunity to not just shape Rovio’s business but also the highly dynamic mobile advertising industry.  

Some of your responsibilities would include

  • Setting the vision, strategy and targets to maximise our players’ lifetime value across our games portfolio through Ads 
  • Coaching a talented Ad Operations team 
  • Leading strategic partnerships across the advertising industry
  • Developing deep relationships with game teams and studios, aligning and with influencing best practices for in-game advertising. 
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders including Technology, Business Intelligence and Marketing to further  innovate our advertising offering and drive  for business performance

We would expect that you have

  • Proven experience leading teams
  • The ability to set the vision and strategy, and then execute it across a scaled organisation 
  • A solid understanding of ads tech
  • Experience heading up ads monetisation ideally for a mobile product
  • A track record of driving sequential growth
  • The player first-mindset, as our mission is to craft joy
