As a UX Research Team Lead at Rovio you will leverage your passion for mobile games, psychology, user research and UX design skills to lead a team of researchers who help game teams understand their audience, find product - market fit, and create the most intuitive, accessible, user friendly and engaging games in the mobile industry. You will have the opportunity to work across several Rovio’s studios to influence an important part of Rovio’s portfolio. You and your team will work across key games, both new concepts and live titles. Through your team you will help influence and inform business strategy and game decisions at all stages of development, by providing insights through driving qualitative and quantitative UX research.

Who we think will do great in this role has:

  • Experience and deep knowledge in mobile free to play gaming is a must
  • Ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative research
  • Experience leading people either directly or through key projects
  • Proven ability to develop and execute on a UX strategy
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to coach and inspire others to become more successful researchers 
  • Expert in giving constructive feedback
  • Strong organisation and management skills 
  • A strong influencer to advocate for players and push forward key insights to stakeholders

Largely embedded within game teams and in close collaboration with a large variety of stakeholders, our role is to identify, anticipate and make sure to satisfy our target audiences’ needs and wants. We do this across all touchpoints – from early research on new concepts, to how we reach out to millions of players through our marketing campaigns, or to how we engage them through our social networks and other discussion platforms.
