(Senior) Unity Game Developer

The Games Technology team encompasses a whole host of data and analytics expertise areas, including (but not limited to) machine learning, build and submission tools, and cloud infrastructure. Powered by Beacon, Rovio's in-house cloud services platform, the team supports tens of millions of players, capturing 4 billion events and over 1TB of data per day. All of this work results in services and tools that enable successful live operations and continuous optimization in Rovio’s games.

The Game Projects is a unit in Rovio's Games Technology, creating and releasing games that explore new business models and technologies. Examples of our work are the Angry Birds Reloaded on the Apple Arcade platform, and the recently launched remake of the original Angry Birds slingshot classic.

In the future we aim to launch new projects - but with our focus on new technologies and business models separating us from our F2P game studios. Our projects have strategic value in trying out things that have potential of becoming big in the future.

Are you eager to bring mobile games to life? Do you want your work to reach 10’s of millions of gamers around the globe? Do you feel inspired by being part of developing new games, maintaining our classic titles and creating services for games? If yes, you could be the Game Developer we are now looking for to join our Games Projects team in Finland.

You will help us with building new games, taking existing games to new markets and channels, and maintaining our older games so our players can continue to enjoy and play. You will be developing and working in close collaboration with senior developers, product leads, game designers, artists and QA to build and maintain game projects. We are open to both senior and non-senior candidates.


Who we think will do great in this role:

  • Commercial experience of Unity3D development and C# programming experience
  • Game programming experience for iOS and Android
  • Experience with test frameworks and continuous integration systems
  • Experience in agile software development methods
  • It would be a plus if you have experience with server or SDK development
  • Fluent in English
