We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst with a focus on User Acquisition to join our Data Science and Analytics in Helsinki, Finland.

Data is at the heart of everything we do at Rovio. It enables us to continually improve our games and provide incredible experiences for the millions of users who play our games every day. All of this data is only valuable if it can be used to guide our day to day operations. In this position, your main focus will be to enhance product marketing analytics as part of our internal publishing team, providing support to SEGA and taking on responsibilities for a game within the SEGA portfolio. You will report directly to the Head of Data Science and Analytics.

The team is located at our HQ in Espoo, Finland and we operate in a hybrid mode with a few days a week in the office. We can provide relocation assistance if needed or if you are already in Stockholm or Copenhagen where we have our studios, you can work from there. 


What your days will look like:

  • You will spend most of your time as a senior analyst in a game project improving our campaign management and UA creatives together with the marketing professionals
  • You will be evaluating and defining metrics and understanding long-term trends
  • You will be supporting Head of Data Science and Analytics in portfolio level analysis and roadmap planning
  • You will be designing experiments and creating dashboards and reports
  • You will be coaching and sharing best practices between colleagues, data craft and game teams

Experience and skills we are looking for:

  • Experience in mobile app marketing and user acquisition
  • High level of proficiency in relevant scripting language like SQL and Python/R
  • Experience in A/B testing design, implementation and decision making
  • Understanding of statistical analysis, bayesian methods and machine learning
  • Proven ability to turn analysis into valuable actions
  • Strong communications skills where you will work with people from creatives to finance and need your stakeholders to make data actionable

Recruitment process:

First meeting: You will meet the TA Partner to get acquainted and learn more about Rovio and the specifics of the role
Call with a Hiring manager: We will deep dive into your skills and background and also discuss what motivates you. This is also an opportunity for you to learn more about Rovio and the specifics of the role
Assignment: We’d like to learn more about your hard skills through a relevant take home task, which takes a few hours
Technical interview: We will invite you to present the assignment results to your colleagues in the Data Craft for an in-depth conversation
Final round: You will meet the Game Marketing team that you will be supporting. Our aim is to get a clear overview of your collaboration and communication skills, how you would fit with our working culture, your ambitions and where we can help you develop.
