As Head of HR Operations you will lead and develop Rovio’s HR Operations team guiding them in creating and maintaining consistent and scalable employee experiences.  

The HR Operations team is the first point of contact for all Rovians in people related matters across all Rovio locations. The team centrally provides on-demand day-to-day support to employees and supervisors. Together the team maintains and develops tools and services with the objective to provide all Rovians an excellent employee experience that builds and reinforces the Rovio culture. 

What your days will look like: As Head of HR Operations you will design and drive effective and efficient delivery of employee lifecycle processes, services and tools globally in line with Rovio’s culture and strategy.

Your responsibilities entail:

  • Designing and building as well as improving and running people processes, services and tools aligned with Rovio’s culture and objectives.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and the wider HR team to identify opportunities for improvement and drive new solutions to enhance employee experience.
  • Developing and growing the HR Operations team ensuring the capabilities and ways of working are sustainable and in line with Rovio’s culture and strategy.
  • Enabling the growth and development of each individual within the HR Operations team by creating clear objectives and direction, following them through and ensuring you team members have everything they need to do their best work.
  • Leading people operations related diligence and integration activities and coach HR Operations team to continuously build knowledge.

Talent, mindset, and behaviours? We’re looking for:

  • Strong knowledge, experience, and proof of creating and developing employee lifecycle processes, tools and services in an international setting (experience operating in the Finnish or Swedish markets appreciated)
  • Experience in supervisory, engaging and coaching others
  • Experience in people operations -related diligence and integration activities of M&A design and set-up of new locations
  • Good analytical skills with an ability to interpret data and extract insights
  • Strong business acumen with a curiosity and desire to learn about the aspects of the industry we operate in, the business we are in, and our goals
  • Experienced in change and project management
  • Ability to manage work sustainably across time zones
  • The ability to seamlessly alternate between the strategic and operational aspects of the role, and support others in doing the same
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English

  • First meeting: You will meet our Head of People and Culture. We’re looking forward to hearing more about your experience, career aspirations and other interests. During this meeting we’ll brief you about Rovio and the wider HR team.
  • Second meeting: You will get to meet our Chief People Officer.  In this meeting, you will learn about Rovio HR’s ambitions for the future and we’ll look forward to hearing more about your experience in leading and developing HR operations.
  • Final round: You will meet your team to learn about the team culture and ways of working.
