It’s Earth Day and Red is doing his part to stamp out climate change

Did you know that the United Nations has its own stamps? It does, and in honor of Earth Day – and today’s historic signing of the Paris Agreement on climate change – the UN has put Red and the flock front and center in a campaign of philatelic awesomeness.

If you’ll recall, last month the UN appointed Red as the Honorary Ambassador for Green on the International Day of Happiness. Since then Red has been on the road in more than 20 countries to promote the UN’s #AngryBirdsHappyPlanet campaign and encouraging fans to take action against climate change.
The commemorative stamps feature Red taking action to support the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal #13 on climate action, which includes suggestions to:

  • Walk, cycle, or take public transport
  • Conserve water
  • Reduce, reuse, recycle
  • Bring your own reusable bag to the store
  • Turn off the lights and unplug
  • Plant a garden or tree

Check out and buy the stamps online here, or at the United Nations stamp counters in New York, Geneva and Vienna.
And follow the flock on Instagram for more green tips...

Today is #EarthDay - but it could be every day if we all followed these green tips by the @unitednations. #AngryBirdsHappyPlanet
