Rovio entertains festival goers with Angry Birds crowd games and a virtual reality experience
Las Vegas, U.S.A - The Angry Birds flock have always been big fans of Rio, and this year they kick off Rovio and Rock in Rio’s 5 year partnership by flying into Las Vegas to party with a lineup of stars, as the world’s biggest music festival makes its first appearance in the U.S. with two themed Rock and Pop weekends (8-9 and 15-16 May).
In between sets that include A-list stars like Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars and legends Metallica and No Doubt, Rovio will keep festival goers entertained with exciting and immersive Rio-themed Angry Birds games controlled by the volume of the crowd, the louder attendees scream the more piggies they can squash. VIP guests will also be able to take part in the first-ever Angry Birds virtual reality experience powered by Samsung Gear VR and created exclusively for the festival. They’ll go cruising with Red as he goes around the event and listens to music on the Rock in Rio stages.

This year also sees Rock in Rio’s 30th anniversary, and to celebrate, Angry Birds Friends hosts a week-long Rock in Rio themed tournament starting 4th May.
Not to be outdone by Red, Angry Birds Stella POP! will feature Rock in Rio artwork and an exciting collection of brand new levels with a surprise guest after the Rock In Rio Pop weekend.
