Angry Birds Go! – an immersive, 3D racing experience starring Red, Stella, Bomb and many other characters from the Angry Birds universe – quietly debuted on new Apple TV App Stores on February 26, and has stayed in the top spot in the games category ever since. Speeding into pole position on the game downloads chart in 84 other countries as well, the free-to-play title has also been among the highest-grossing games in 37 different markets, including the United States, according to analytics firm App Annie.
While Angry Birds Go! is an established mobile hit, its bright, lush visuals and console-quality gameplay are a natural fit also for Apple TV-equipped home entertainment systems, complete with the gyroscopic steering capabilities of the Siri Remote. The game also supports a local two-player mode, where users can take advantage of the extra real estate on large displays and race each other in split-screen.
Angry Birds Go! was first released in late 2013, and has since been installed more than 130 million times on iOS, Android and Windows Phone devices. The game is entirely free to download and play, but optional in-app purchases are also available.
